The Role:

We require a keen, experienced systems engineer to provide proactive support on customers’ ICT infrastructure. This role is part of our dedicated ProActive Services team. You will need to have a broad technical background with good communication skills, a strong interest in IT and eagerness to learn. You must have previous experience in a similar role.

 Responsibilities:

  • Using a Remote Management Tool to automate Windows updating across a large number of customer devices

  • Proactive monitoring & updating of firmware, OS versions for a variety of storage and networking devices

  • Monitoring of a broad range of IT infrastructure components using RMM tools

  • Configuring and managing a fully featured antivirus suite as part of a Managed Service for multiple customers

  • Acting as a mentor to lower level engineers providing tuition and advice (leave out for more junior role)?

  • Working with the team and management to develop processes and solutions

  • Compliance with all ISMS Policies and Procedures and support the ISMS continuous improvement process

  • Conducting checks of client infrastructures to highlight areas for improvement

Education and experience:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019

  • Microsoft Server/Azure Certifications

  • Remote Management and Monitoring tools, (LogicMonitor, ConnectWise Automate, SolarWinds, PRTG)

  • Some Citrix and Virtualisation (VMWare or MS Hyper-V) experience

  • SQL Server Experience Helpful

  • Active Directory - General admin, GPO experience

  • Firewall/Routers familiarity (FortiGate / Cisco / SonicWALL / Sophos UTM)

  • Familiarity with general IT infrastructure (Network (LAN,WAN), Storage, troubleshooting tools)
