10 July 2018 – Arkphire has appointed Brendan Martin to head up its networking solutions business, Bootstrap. Bootstrap which was acquired by Arkphire during 2016, was established almost 40 years ago by its original owners, Pauline and Martin White, who have now retired from the business.
In his new role as Head of Networking Services for Bootstrap, Brendan’s main responsibilities will be to drive sales growth and marketing initiatives in Bootstrap, build out customer relationships including the Cisco Gold Partner status, together with the development of competitive strategy for the business. Brendan will also be a key part of the Arkphire leadership team that is driving the process, already well underway, to further align and integrate Bootstrap and Arkphire, into a more fully enhanced single enterprise offering with capabilities across the full spectrum of IT services.

Brendan brings over 35 years of experience working within the technology industry, having previously undertaken roles at Siemens, Tektronix, AT&T, and eir. More recently, Brendan was one of the founding shareholders of Airspeed Telecom. He played a key role as Sales Director and latterly as Managing Director to position Airspeed Telecom as a leading player in the Irish telecoms market.

Brendan is an engineering graduate from University of Limerick. He also has an MMII Grad from the Marketing Institute of Ireland and a Diploma in Business Strategy from the Irish Management Institute.
A member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland, Brendan is originally from Co. Roscommon, near the town of Carrick on Shannon.
